The California Department of Public Health (CDPHⁱ) is upgrading the CAHAN system.

The CAHAN upgrade will provide many new features that make the system faster, more powerful, and easier to use. One of the new features is a stronger password policy.

Old CAHAN passwords will not work with the new system. Users enrolled on the current CAHAN system must change their passwords no later than March 15, 2010. Users who fail to change their passwords by the deadline will be be locked out of the CAHAN system.

Users can download changes and detailed instructions on changing their passwords.
