The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced on November 4, 2009 a series of public meetings that will be held to discuss the DHS Voluntary Private Sector Preparedness Accreditation and Certification Program (PS-Prep). PS-Prep is a partnership between DHS and the private sector that will enable private entities—including businesses, non-profit organizations and universities—to receive emergency preparedness certification from a system DHS created in coordination with the private sector.
