As the damage from Hurricane Harvey continues to grow in many Texas and Louisiana communities, CHA and the Regional Associations announced today that they will support hospital employees in those areas, beginning with a monetary contribution to the Texas Hospital Association’s Employee Assistance Fund. All donations to the fund will be used to directly assist hospital employees in Federal Emergency Management Agency-designated disaster areas who have lost their homes or been displaced.

CHA encourages its member hospitals to consider making their own donations to the fund directly by visiting https://www.tha.org/Harvey/Relief/Fund.

In addition, blood donations can be made in California and designated for Texas, to help with the general disaster relief effort. To specify a blood donation for the Hurricane Harvey-affected communities, please use the Texas Hurricane Donor Club number 0687.
