CHA Hospital Preparedness Program

The CHA Hospital Preparedness Program (HPP) was established with funding provided by the federal hospital preparedness grant program. The program provided ongoing support to California hospitals and health systems in all-hazards disaster planning. Some of the primary CHA HPP accomplishments were: establishing the annual disaster planning conference for California hospitals; creating and maintaining this website; developing a variety of planning tools and resources to assist hospitals; developing training and conducting over 400 classes, drills and exercises; providing technical assistance and support to hospitals; providing hospital emergency management advocacy and representation to state, federal and local agencies and other activities.
