The CHA Hospital Preparedness Program (CHA-HPP) was established
and is funded provided by the federal
hospital preparedness grant program. The program provids
ongoing support to hospitals and health systems in
all-hazards disaster planning.
Accomplishments of the CHA-HPP include:
Convenes an annual Disaster Planning Conference for
California Hospitals conference
Development and maintenance of this website
Creation of planning tools and resources to assist hospitals
in disaster preparedness and response
Has conducted hundreds of classes, drills and exercises
Provides technical assistance and support to hospitals
Performs hospital emergency management advocacy and
representation to state, federal and local agencies
Mary Massey, B.S.N, MA, PHN, has over thirty years experience in
clinical and administrative management of hospital emergency
medical services. She participates in multi-agency task
forces, and development of the Hospital Incident Command System
as a member of the HICSi National Workgroup. She is a graduate
from the Naval Postgraduate School with a Masters in Homeland
Security and Defense.
